Nice find still looking for one here!

What's it made from? No patina?? Looks more like a drawer pull to me.

Not a drawer pull. When's the last time you have seen a drawer pull with different end designs. I also don't think it's a sword guard either as there are no holes for the blade to slide through. Good looking find however. Keep looking in the area and see what else turns up

This just a guess but it looks like it could be a handle to a beer stein or a trophy cup. Nice design on it. It's deff not a drawer pull.

I thought it might be a handle to a cup too, but I started looking at examples of hand guards on swords and I found several that are a very close match to this one. It is made of brass and has the patina. The pin on the bottom would fit into a hole on the pommel. The top part I assume is broken off. The thing that seems odd is that there is only decoration on one side.

Anyway I will be going back today armed with deep woods off as the Mosquitos drove me off the site within a half hour. I hope I can find more pieces.

Great find, and I am going to through my to to the sword gaurd.
