I know nothing about swords, these are (or were) engraved, so guessing they were not battle swords but yet they are in pretty rough shape...identical in design but one blade is 30" the other is 26", they say Made In Germany close to the handle but on the other side it says some company from Columbus, O. that's worn and hard to read. Any help ID'ing and or dating would be great....these were left in a house my grandparents bought in 1959 in Cleveland.
Thanks!

Someone will be along with a date range of the McLilly sword. They can be dated roughly by the wording on the name stamp.

M. C. Lilley 1867- 1923 , sword with knuckle guard is 1860 staff & field officers sword, the other is a military association sword, it's unclear to me which sword is marked M.C. Lilley, but both were used by the G.A.R. , sons of vets, etc.

I forgot to mention the knuckle guard is broke on the smaller sword, other than that and one not having "22" stamped in it, the handles are identical.

These are probably early Lilley swords, before they started making their own blades, late 1860's- 1870's. some lodges also used these.
