Sword hangers/horse tack?

Went back to spot where I found confederate cavalry button. Quickly found the enfields and the round balls when I found the two hooks IMG_2207.webpinches apart. Are these part of a sword hanger? Thanks

Your two snap-link hooks (missing their iron spring/tongue) are probably from a civil war sword scabbard-hanger. It's important to mention that they are used for various other purposes. Also, most scabbard-hanger snap-links have a built-in "swivel," and thus are called a snap-swivel. (See the photos below.) The fact that you found those two VERY close together is what indicates they are from a scabbard-hanger, which contains two snap-link hooks.
