Found this today while I was scanning the woods looking for an early 1800s home site I know it's from a pocket watch but I'm having trouble dating it. Thanks.

I see this inner cover on examples claiming to be from 1852-70, but have yet to find the verifying source of this info.

Updated: I guess it has the characters from the 2nd French Empire.

I've been doing some research and it looks like Hebdomas pocket watches used these covers.
