Swimming Holes in Southeast, low water levels?

Yeah, you'd think detecting would be prime in those areas but it may be that the folks are/were more concerned about having good drinking water than spending some time in an ole swimming hole.

I once had the opportunity to detect a lake that was a popular swimming hole for many years and I know this place was loaded...but the problem was, the owner only gave me 30 minutes and then wanted to see my finds...I think he was using me as a test to see if there were anything in the lake...I showed him a quarter and pair of glasses! The weeds were about 4' and it was difficult detecting. This place is near my Dad's so think I'll wait til it changes owners again and give er' a 2nd go!

Happy Detecting,
Ang

I have detected a couple of sites where the water is really low, problem is the mud is like thick quicksand and you sink up to your waist, but I have found some small jewelry and coins.....waiting on hitting th big lakes until after christmas. I hear several folks are having good results doing the lakes around here, and the rivers also
