Sweet New York State Military Button

Got this one today while searching an area, which was report to have been used as a WW II training camp.......Other items dug from this site (at different times), would suggest the reports might be true, but also could have been easily explained or questioned as to military use, such as different types of ammo found, which could have been used in military rifles or civilian hunting rifles.....but I think the button may confirm the stories......I'd be interested in hearing others thoughts on the matter.
