Sweet morning at Dunkin Donuts & the celler hole
Today. . . oops. . . I mean yesterday . . . had a little bit of everything in the mix.
Started my day meeting a GREAT bunch of Illinois TNetters at Dunkin Donuts . . . not far
from the cellar hole in the woods that DP Bob invited us out to hunt (Thanks Bob!)
After a French Cruller, a Double Chocolate and a large black coffee , it was time
to hit the woods and start playing in the mud. It rained off & on but not severe enough
to hamper my first find. . . a 1914 Wheat .
A few minutes later, my detector's coil ended up over my oldest IH penny to date. . . an 1866 which,
I might have nicked (oh poop) and 20-minutes later, a small pocket spill that included a 1905-S Barber
Half and a 1924 Merc. As I swept the area around these finds, I found my second IH of the day. . . a 1905.
All in all, it was a sweet morning . . . I was able to hunt with some new friends, find my first Barber Half
and my oldest IH to date.
Thanks for looking,
