I just can't believe how good of shape it is for being found in the ground.

Great hunt and your 1859 cent , first year of the Indian cents , aka " fattie " . Definitely more worthy than a two word comment

Congrats on a sweet find! Very nice condition too! GL&HH.

Great early IH! Once in awhile we get lucky and the come out of the ground in great condition. I've got 2 really nice ones. Hope you find a bunch more

Not just a great find in great condition, but a one year type coin. They only made this one in 1859. It has the reverse with the laurel wreath without the shield. I found one about 30 years ago, but it can't hold a candle to yours. Really nice find.

Fatty!, I've only found 3-4 fatties!

Nice detail on that one

Very Nice and in Great shape!!

Second one but this one's in better shape

Thank you for sharing your hunt and those pictures with us .
