I found this on the beach this morning. It's not really a cap, but it is- So weird. Can anyone ID where this might be from? I am coming up with blanks everywhere....! Thanks! 3.jpgDSCN6592.JPG

Most likely, your part came from something that Crane Steel or Buffam Tool company, and has absolutely no relationship with the German Nazi regime.

The swastika, before Hitler and his gang of murderers came to power, was a widely used symbol for 'good luck.'

St. Austel Brewery cap? Carlsbad. The Swastika was used as good luck way prior to the German use for the Nazi's. These were on numerous bottles including the use of the symbol for coke. Crazy but true. Hope that helps. jgas

I'm well aware of the real meanings of the swastikas... It's not a beer cap though... I will look into the steel companies! Thanks!

Looks to me as if it was modified by hand! You need to find a less weathered
piece or perhaps mint condition to verify that it wasn't.

I agree, other than that the lettering seems to fit rather well into that design.

Here's another that was found -

It's not KRIT- but this guy has the same exact cap here.

It looks an awful lot like a knob to a valve of some kind. I googled steam radiator valves and the cap on the knob looks just like this one. Nothing comes up though with swastika cap, knob, valve- anything. It's very strange. Thanks folks. I hope we can figure this one out!

Another OPTION!!!

As we all know by now the Swastika has been around for some time,It's just that most people associate it with the 3rd.Reich.Anyway here is possibly more info to widen your search if your still interested in finding out what that cap is from...
The pics show many logos used by the GILL BROS. and all their subsidaries which are all glass makers. From my exsperiance that looks like a glass jar lid of the 40's-50's,Maybe even the 60's!!!
So i'll leave that up to you to search the GILL BROTHERS(BROS.)...HAPPY HUNTING ALL!!!

Book is:400 TRADEMARKS ON GLASS/WITH ALPHABETICAL INDEX BY Arthur G.Peterson,Ph.D
