i have heard all sorts of stories of the east coast of florida but not much on the west coast. i have been following some leads but i come to a road block on how true the stories are. i have just signed in as a new user , but i have been watching and learning from you guys for a couple of years and i have to tell you, you are some very smart people, i wish i could be that good but it will take time, i know and i do have the patience. thanks all.

thanks ret-det, some say there are wrecks off of naples, i have seen articals in the local papper that say gold and silver coins have been recovered by treasure hunters and gold coins have been found on the beaches. I searched online to find out what these coins came from to no avail, if anyone has any links to any site that can direct me in the right direction , i would greatly appreciate it , thanks.

Welcome!

I am sure somewere on tnet that i read that pieces from old shipwrecks have been known to start growing sealife on them. If that is the case then i think i might be onto something. looking at pics i see a possible line of what could be a debree field from somthing in anywere from 10' to 15' foot depth of water about a half mile from shore. this debree field [ if that is what this is ] is not in a perfict straight line , but a line in which follows the wave lines and scatered like connecting dots . this place is very sandy bottom which makes this stand out even more. It is about maybe a mile long and it looks like it starts in a little deeper water but i cant tell were. the seafloor here is very gradual slope. anywere else i look i dont see any of the same spots. I dont have a boat anymore so i cant check this out. any thoughts on this from anyone would be great help. dont know if it something or nothing. thanks.

I found some newspapper clippings that someone found 10000.00 worth of gold coins on the beach in the same area.
