A month or so ago I put a large lot of WW2 and Korean war medals on ebay including a purple heart. Listing was pulled, apparently its against the rules to try to sell certain high distinction medals including the purple heart, medal of honor, silver star etc. So I relisted saying the lot only included the purple heart box, no medal would be included, and medal in photos was for display purposes only. Listing is pulled a 2nd time because the medal is still in the photograph. I call ebay and they say it's ok to sell the box, just not the medal, and to not show the medal in any photos. So I retake all the photos, no medal in any photo, clearly state several times in the listing that no medal is included, that only the purple heart box is included in the lot. 2 weeks go by and this morning I get an email "Your selling privileges have been temporarily restricted: Government IDs and Licenses." Now I'm pissed! I get a hold of ebay and tell them everything that happened and "Bob" from India agrees the listing shouldnt have been pulled but there isnt anything he can do. 15 years I have been with ebay, you try to follow the rules according to what they tell you and they still pork you over in the end. An hour now I'm waiting for "Bob's" supervisor to call me back. It's only a 3 day ban, but thats not the point - one minor slip up and next time it could be a week or a month.

Probably not going to get it reversed after I gave them an earful about how badly their site sucks for sellers......

I tried to cancel and auction after being alerted that a high-end watch was fake. I called eBay and they said they could not end the listing since it had less than 12 hours left. They were nice enough to show me how to cancel all bids and that any bids received at the last minute could be canceled or I could contact the high bidder. I did that and was able to add wording to the listing that ALL BIDS WILL BE CANCELED because the watch was possibly fake. Of course at the last minute folks started bidding. Refunded the winner and explained to him that he must have not read the auction info as the watch was not authentic. He replied "Alas, too good to be true!". Fine. A week later...he leaves me negative feedback "The watch was fake!". Bay would not remove the feedback because "It is the buyer's experience." They said I should contact him to see if he would revise his feedback. Seriously OP...they suck as a company...but they are the BIGGEST GAME IN TOWN AND THEY KNOW IT! I hate them, yet I LOVE WHAT THEY GIVE ME ACCESS TO! And they have sellers by the short hairs. Golden Handcuffs...
