Hi all new to site, I started hunting after finding colourful blue slag in Sept 2015, read lots and got interested then remembered fireball that passed overhead spitting away then bursting over the sea 4 seconds later and hearing metallic chinks on path, so I went to the location in Nov and found the irons weights 80grm, 102grm,170grm and 2grm iron and rock, the 2grm and 102grm shuttle looking iron is in Cambridge university museum being tested, will post more pics

Sounds like you are doing everything right. Good luck!

Thanks tuberale but I was like a headless chicken when I first found the piece of blue slag as it looked like a fossilized blue sea plant attached to rock and had a sulphur smell, anyway calmed since, are you or anyone else able to tell me what the tiny pitted marks on the irons are called that's if they are meteorites, thanks

Regmaglympts

Pitted marks may be regmaglympts, which are caused by friction of air (especially dense, humid air) near the earth's surface. Too early to call the irons meteorites, but this sounds promising.
