One is a bit corroded but the newer of the two is awesome. Found them about 20 feet appart. I think I'm going to go over this spot a few more times. I picked up several wheaties here last year but so far no newer coins. I did find a couple of old dimes that were pretty badly corroded. I dug one dime from about 18" in the sand at the surf not to far from this spot. It seems to be a good spot for older coins.

Nice IH pennies. I have had the same thing happen. You can find one penny in great shape and not 10 feet away another that is corroded.

Congrats! :icon_thumright: nice finds....that 1907 IH is in great shape :headbang:

Nice going on the IHs, good shape for the age. :icon_thumright:

I love finding indian heads, and will take them in any condition they come. Two in one day would be a real bonanza!

Very nice indies. I agree with Allen, go slow, and also listen for low signals. Silver is heavy and sinks farther down. With my detector I hunt in Discrimination mode with the discrimination almost off. Then when I get a reading, I switch to all metal mode. If I get a loud sound then I know it's close to the top, if I don't get a sound at all or a low dull sound then I know the object is deep.
