i think it is pieces of asbestos siding....had some like that on my old house..

asbestosis type sliding shingles -- or floor tiles -- look at the other side and thickness to figger out which one it is.

These are perfectly flat. Haven't seen any shells that are flat. Most likely tiles w/ corrugation on one side. Baspinall.....You're near Springfield eh?

As the other posters said, they're definately fragments of asbestos siding. You find lots of them here in the N.J. surf from all the houses that went in the hurrincanes.

Asbestos siding tile... use to find them on the N.C. coast alot years ago snap one into and you can probably see some fibers.

Sea shells........find them on the beach all the time.

Even though they are flat, I would have to agree. I find flat pieces here in Florida as well. But without seeing them, they could be tile pieces or pottery.
