IMG_0473.jpgIMG_0474.jpgThis is 2"X2.75" and is pretty heavy. I found it at a lot that used to have an old house on it. I think the numbers on the back look old in style. Any ideas what it was a part of? Thanks! Hope the picture will post!

It looks like either a mold or maybe a cog for a windmill or something of power driven machinery

Looks like a locking washer of some kind.

Not sure what your piece went on but things like that can be found on adjustment items, outdoor lights, antenna,ETC. Anything that needs to be directed or moved on a mount.

I've seen these items and think I have a few in the garage. A hex-head bolt with a round piece on the bottom side of it would match the indentations you see around the hole. Kind of like if the bolt was made in one piece with the round washer being the bottom part of it. Anyways the ones I have seen would have two pieces and they would be used to clamp two cables or wires together.

Similar "splined" washer on my tiller that allows me to angle the handle yoke.
