My Wife and I came back to Missouri for the weekend. Luckily I was able to get a short hunt in with the Nox800. I came to the Union Camp Site South of Cassville Missouri. I’ve pounded this place with the CTX AND THE 17” coil. Not to mention it’s been hammered for the last 30 years+ with every type of machine. I came here not expecting to find much other than camp lead, but boy was I surprised. My first decent target was a .58 cal miniball. That alone made Me Smile.
The next was the Silver, and it was scrambling, but would hit a good 28 and sometimes 30, but the most part 19. The closer I got to it, the more the signal cleared up to a 28 & 30. When I caught glimpse of the Silver disc, I about fell over!!! Wow!!!! So Awesome!!!!
It is holed and a friend of mine said the soldiers would sew them inside their pockets for luck, and so they wouldn't loose them. So Cool!!! I hope You all enjoy! Thanks for looking and Happy Hunting!!! A1D8F672-55C2-488F-AB15-EC92FD618C4D.jpeg15A8F87C-6854-4C7D-9C04-724787024BA8.jpeg

Incredible hunt, congratulations!!!:hello2::occasion14::icon_thumleft:

Nice one. Looks like a Mexico Republic 1 real and I think I see 1820 something. I found two of them last year weeks apart at different locations. None before or since but they clearly circulated in much of the country alongside the Spanish colonial reales prior to Civil War

A really good day for you! The silver is an amazing find, and proves that even pounded sites can still offer up some history. Congrats!

Great post and finds Randy! :occasion14:
Congrats on your 1827 Silver Mexican 1 Reale find.

I usually only find 1 or 2 round balls each year if I'm lucky and you guys find handful's. :laughing7:
