 Just wow! I had gotten an fpoint hand held and it works ok but you had to be almost right on the target. I pulled the trigger and bought a sun ray probe and used it for the first time today. First useing it to setup and notch/air testing was great. Most of the coins i get are the same color as the soil. Its like fliping the switch and haveing a 1in coil to pinpoint with. All the tones, VDI and pinpointing work just like the normal coil.

Yep Sunray Probes are Great.
You'll find many uses for it.
Like reaching between Large rocks to detect
Under concession stands that are set on cinder blocks,
Closer to Metal Fences.
if your control box can be Chest mounted you can even use the probe to
reach up & detect high shelves & walls like a discriminating Stud finder.

Today was my first time out with the FX-1 on my F-75. I was underwhelmed until I started using the pinpoint trigger while probing the hole. I've got the system down to pinpoint with the main coil, flip out a flap plug, use the FX-1 to see if it's in the plug or still in the hole. If still in the hole reach over and pull the pinpoint trigger. Works great when used that way.

Dont forget you can pull the trigger agian to "detune" to get closer if need be. Charley i was doing the same thing, also on shallow targets i was able to plug right on the coins.
