So after spending yesterday listening to lectures on the Bronze Age Settlements in our area, today we were back in the fields, misty start, but the sun soon burnt thru and had the most gorgeous day!

Himself found this stunning key 😍 simply beautiful! xx then we have some mystery items, the lead ring had the bit to the side slotted into the hole, then another coin weight, musket ball and a Capstan shot, a thimble, bit of a thimble and round button, pot leg and pot mend, buttons, 3 scrappy romans, and a little hammered, found by myself, first target of the day! πŸ˜† Xx

Some lovely Hawthorn Blossom, and so pretty Dandelion seed heads showing how beautiful the day turned out weather wise From the misty start! xx

Love the key and the misty pic...and assortment of recoveries....I imagine someone will be able to give a date on the key in the comment section... congratulations to himself and you!

The second item might be a Roman pelta mount.

Beautiful finds. Congratulations

''a little hammered, found by myself, first target of the day!'' - 'Kiss of Death' we call it.
You have half of an Iron Age Toggle, similar to this;

Can we see the Obverse of the Hammered? (the mint isn't making sense, seems to start with a 'G' ?)

Well done once again, getting a fine section of cool recoveries. Have to ID the coin weight if possible.
Getting that kiss of death hammered is a good/bad thing, but you got it first. :hello2:
The other treasures throughout the day make up for it in many ways.
Great photos once again, spring is well on it's way.

EBO for York mint?

I think the G is an E with the middle line too dark to see.
