Sunday's Silver and Gold and a Few Other Good Things

Went to Coconut Grove (about 20 miles away) this morning to a sale that advertised for today only. Sterling silver, jewelry and Waterford crystal were some of the things they advertised. Got there about half an hour early and waited until start time. Only waited because no one else showed up before then, lol. Anyway here is what I ended up with-

Pictures include a few Playboy items. I have 2 orange ashtrays (like the black one pictured) and a couple other Playboy items that I will list as a "lot" for sale. Also in this picture is an Auguste Galan Skeleton wristwatch, 20 jewels, and a vintage Norman De Luxe ladies pendant watch, Swiss made.

Next photo shows a 10k gold ring (13.5 grams) and 10k tie tac (2.15 grams), a couple ruby flashed souvenir pieces from the turn of the century (I like my old glass, lol). 23 Taxco sterling toothpicks (1.8 grams each), and a sterling ashtray (29.64 grams).

Next photo shows a small Gorham sterling plate (4.2 ozs.), a Tiffany & Co. leaf shaped nut or candy dish (4.6 ozs.) and 2 Tiffany & Co. sterling straws (8.5 grams each)

Last but not least are a couple bottles of cologne, the good stuff. One is Fendi Uomo EDT 1.7 OZ. new and the other is Ungaro II Pour L' Homme EDT 3.4 oz.

I got all this at the same sale. Paid $250 for the whole lot. I think I can easily triple my money on a bad day.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot about the Waterford (Clare pattern) 10" vase and the Empire weighted sterling bud vase I got there too. They had a nice Waterford decanter but I found a small chip on the underside so I didn't buy it.

Thanks for looking! :icon_thumleft:

Nice im sure you will make out good on this deal.. Congrats.

Good stuff! 4 plus ounces of anything Tiffany is a beautiful day by itself, nice ring and sterling too.
I'm surprised that there was not a waiting line down in that area.
Sunday only sales are usually good to me, and I always look for them.

I'm surprised there wasn't anyone else there too. They didn't put the listing in until like 8 o'clock last night, maybe that had something to do with it.:dontknow:
One guy showed up while we were there. He looked like a pro. Gave me a mean look when he saw my pile that I was negotiating on, lol. He left empty handed.

I might add that the wife is a master at deal making, I leave that part up to her. I play stupid. They started out at $325, which, if I was by myself, I more than likely would have paid. She got them down to $250. She should have been a used car saleman, lol.

Did you just say that ring was 13.5g! Thats huge!

also...

Did you just say Tiffanys?? I find silver every weekend and I STILL haven't found any Tiffany ANYTHING. Its on my top "to find" list I'm a little jealous ;)

Nice finds as always Digg!

Yes 13.5 gms of 10k. It's marked Jostens, they make class rings and such. It's missing the main stone, here's a close up-

You hit the mother lode at this sale. These are the kind of sales that we all dream about. Lots of good stuff, no competition, and fair prices. Congrats!
