After a rain soaked Saturday, we finally got out today.

Went to the grass fields near the lynchets (opposite the hill we were on a few weeks ago). It’s a ridge and furrow field and very wet!

First off a pretty little buckle, lead role and bullet and 3 buttons…. But… 18 pre dec coins, 3 decimal coins, a 1921 six pence and weirdly a 1925 50 centesimi Victor Emmanuel 111 from Italy! Himself found 8 of the pre dec coins, I found the rest including both Silvers!

Definitely need to spend more time here as not only does the stream run thru it, but also the Carrier water system which was put in in the 1700s to supply water from the reservoir to the canal!

Very nice recoveries Blossom! Congratulations! As always, great pictures. Nice to know you guys can still get out even in the rain. It is snowing here in N. E. Oregon today as I write this.

Nice to see you got out digging.
Lots of coins to be had for sure.
Even another silver.
Here is the info on the other one.

Love love love your recoveries!

Congrats! Quite a pile. And Italy of all places tossed into the mix...

You are just asking for a friend who is maybe looking to relocate? Where to hide? In plain sight of that road...hiking path on the other side ... maintained field ... I'd say not for long even before we factor in that that pesky blossom in shooting season ... with no mention that the season is not continuous ...

Astonished at your hunts Bloss as this reminds me of my unluckiness of trying to learn the guitar, "again", way late in life. Some people just have all the talents and perfect timing as you do. I on the other hand seem like the kid who's parents showed up seconds late, runs up with the Easter basket just as the last egg is found :BangHead: :dontknow::laughing7:

I'd really enjoy finding all those coins. I wonder why so many were out in a field?
We have never found so many pre dec coins in one day 🤔 its weird as the field is just on the outskirts of the village…but heading in no particular ‘direction’.. It has a road running along side it, no footpath showing on the old maps either! Neither is it flat for holding a village fete?! xx ahh to have the power of time travel!! 😊 xx
