Sunday’s Finds xx ☔️

Today started cool and sunny but then the showers started so we didn’t get a full day in, but still nice to be out wandering around with no where else to be.

Not sure what this first item is, medical device or more domestic? Not sure it’s about 7cm long. Nice buckles, then 2 more of those loop things, bit of plate and pipe, bashed spindle whorl, tiny thimble, 2 musket balls, tobacco pot lid, livery button, more buttons and my solitary scrappy Roman, the other side is totally pitted 😞… never mind, my 1 Roman beats himself today 😂 who knew detecting would make me so competitive ☺️. 😂😂 xx

Tool looks a little like one for working "pitched" seams on bark. Good for repairs.

More likely a leather workers bronze Awl that got bent. Tough to date as they had them in the Bronze Age/Iron Age/Roman.
