Went out today in a new stubble field… it was freezing cold and very windy … where did summer go 🤔 ..

Nevermind I found this first item… no idea what it is… 😂 then he found an annular brooch, first we have found that is decorated.. then a plain loop, clasp, a Roman brooch, buckle thingy, I think this is a brooch.. can see a fastener mount on the back, then a little pin thing, has a stamp on the back but can’t read it yet, musket balls, buttons, and my silver today, half a cuff link !

Tomoz is a bank holiday … so we will head back into the stubble with our jumpers and woolly hats at the ready! xx

Ha ha ha.
Even your buttons are ancient.
Congrats on the hunt. And the haul!

Wow there's some danged old jewelry showing there....
Among the other stuff.
First item tried to be a "pie bird" for me. But seems to lack proper venting.

Who's cufflink? (A certain personal item wow besides the precious metal aspect.) Sure looks like a deliberate crest more than a generic one.
And to my curious imagination more a "Fellowship" than family last name of Manners. (No , I'm not an authority.)
One crest has an armor helm. The other a rampant lion &unicorn.
This Manners guy (Lord John Manners later 7th Duke of Rutland). looks like we might get to see a rabbit extracted from his hat...

I believe so… 🤔 xx thank you xx

Ps. Was hoping you would be IDing the cow head thing 😂😂 xx
Need a overhead view picture.
Looks different in each picture.
Zoomorphic, liking the design, scared to offer up an opinion on it.
Maybe @CRUSADER
might be able to ID.
Another picture first.

the button like object with the writing on the back appears to say 'something-patent' the first letters are illegible, at least to me

Have popped it on a scale.. because size matters 😆 xx

Pliny the elder did write of maple tree's during the roman period. Makes me wonder if it could be the end of a sugar maple tree tap..? or possibly used to pour wine or an elaborate spout from some sort of distilling process? Very interesting find!

Great finds as always. Congratulations! Good luck on Monday.

Excellent recoveries, as usual! As always, very jealous...

Possible ID on the first item.. iron Age Woad Grinder … 🤔…
