Nothing to brag about – but it was nice to finally find something.
I loaded some programs in my DFX that I found in forums. This one was the Cherry Picking with Nickels. Thanks to all who take the time to post programs and suggestions. You’ve helped a newbie out. All the coins are late 60’s to about 1976. The group of coins to the right (photo above) and below are all from the same hole.
That really made for an interesting jump in VDI #’s. I probably lost them back in the mid to late 70’s when we used to play with the in-laws little kids on the lawn. We got a kick out of the kids’ jeep body and toy pistol barrel. We’re also having quite a few conversations on the odd round emblem at the bottom.
I said it looked like a stamped out butterfly but my wife said it looks like 2 heats. I asked if it was a torpedo in the middle. I didn’t get an answer from that statement. Just a glare Probably some dangle off a purse that had leather tied thru the middle? Our house shows up in 1850’s maps of the area – but people must have been darn broke or real careful with their money as I haven’t found that $20 gold coin yet.
