Today was bright and sunny but a bitter wind… but we are dedicated seekers of treasure so off we went, today we roamed around the 3 stubble fields with no plan!

Amazingly I found this clipped silver Roman, and himself found the complete Fibular brooch, so we both were super happy!

2 Thimbles, buckle, part of a crotal bell, assortment of metal bits, lead disk has a cross on one side, buttons, a weird bit of lead with an iron protrusion! and finally a mystery item… no clue what that is/was!

Took some pics across the vale, as exhausted interesting pictures of the stubble fields! xx

More great finds.

The clipped coin looks like it might have been a siliqua of Eugenius (AD 392-394), so very late occupation and a relatively scarce emperor. 'Roma seated, holding Victory on globe and inverted spear' reverse, which would likely have had 'TRPS' in the missing exergue portion.

The last item might be a pot leg.

Love the face on the Roman coin and that brooch? appears to be in great condition!

Great finds!

With this reverse type & head type; Honorius & Arcadius have higher probability but with no Obverse Legend showing at all a full attribution would be near impossible.

Congrats on the silver, but like the Fibula most. Not common to get one complete in such a nice condition.
Agreed, nice to get the pin. Had a few but I will always remember the 1 I found that was still in working order! Amazing after nearly 2000 years.

The last item picture is a Cauldron Foot. Tough to date by circa 16th C - 17th C.
