Went back to a friend's land Sunday a.m. and had a really good hunt. Found a couple old shotgun shell heads, as normal until finally I pulled an 1882 Indian Head penny. Found a lincoln penny someone used for target practice and an old oil lamp part. Found two utensils handles, one that has no name, just old stamped markings to signify the maker's mark. The pot lid is marked 1862, Albany NY. Considering how high the underbrush was, I was glad to find anything, but found more than expected
Spring has taken hold of this location and the next hunt won't happen until next year, as it is off limits during hunting season.
