sunday & monday morning finds

went out sunday and monday morning to finish breaking in the new stick i just made for a friend
since he is a fellow guitar playing friend he wanted me to make the stick out of hard rock maple like a gibson les paul is made from
the stick seems to be a lucky one

Re: sunday & monday morning finds

here are the rest of the pictures taken
the last 2 pictures show close ups of the insitu of the single notched point we found
although this is not a real nice example it is still proof that the single notched points were something that was manufactured at this site
i would say that I've found about 20 or so of this type (average of a little better than one a year) over the last 25 yrs

Re: sunday & monday morning finds

One heck of a hunt, Nice finds and insitus...Les paul nice...

Re: sunday & monday morning finds

Very nice pieces indeed Lars.
My Dad has a sweet 1957 Les Paul TV Model. I would consider a trade for a few weeks of hunting points with you. Like I said before, I'll bring a Honey Baked Ham to sweeten the deal.

Awwwww, I couldnt trade my Pop's guitar.

Nice post. Keepem coming!

Re: sunday & monday morning finds

thanks everyone for the nice comments

joshua'
the scrapers are Knife River Flint
it is fairly dark but KRF comes in many shades
if you look close you will see the reason that they look so shiny
it is because I just washed them at the water tank and they are still wet

Re: sunday & monday morning finds

Great finds as always Steve. I was just going to post something when I got on here see if anyone had heard from you since I haven't seen you on here for a while, but you definitely came back with a vengeance.

Awesome finds and great in situs. Thanks for sharing the pics.

Re: sunday & monday morning finds

Cool finds! What was the stone in the 11th pic down (round with a line going down the center) used for? Sinker?

Re: sunday & monday morning finds

More great stuff from the Northern Plains.

Steve, what's the temperature like up there? It needs to cool off soon so the teal that are hanging around up there will head my way!!!

Re: sunday & monday morning finds
