Good evening fellow detectorers Had a good hunt to with Daytondigger. We met at my place at 8AM and headed to some of my hunted out spots But they were still producing some nice finds. Daytondigger will post his nice finds that I missed One was a real nice find too The first place we hit was a spot that the owner said had been hunted by his uncle. Well, he missed something I found another IH (1890)
Headed to my second spot where I thought I had found a privy. Steve (Daytondigger) ran his magic rod into the privy looking for any signs of something lurking below. A lot of the brick had fallen into the hole so his probe wasn't able to get a good reading. Probably won't dig it out This is the sight of a 1800's house and a early 1900's house. We hunted the newer spot because the older one was in the corn field and the stubble was making it hard to search. Steve smoked me again here. I found a wheat and some kind of jewelery ?? Any idea's?? I also found a 1954 TEX-A-Toy fifty cent piece play coin. We to my next spot where I have done good with silver, tokens and Lot's of wheat's and relics. A few modern Lincolns. I found a spoon and a 1949 nickle. The oldest wheat was 1920, and the reat in the 40's. I believe I hunted it out
Now for lunch then over to the JA McDonald place to pound it again. To my surprise I came away with a nice old token. It reads: Voige&Winter Manufacturers. Factory No one. 1st D?? Cincinnati, Ohio Side number 2. Good for one Gold letter cigar
I also found a 1949 Ohio license plate up against the barn. Eyeball find.
Thanks for looking. Ron
