Good evening fellow detectorers :icon_sunny: Had a good hunt to with Daytondigger. We met at my place at 8AM and headed to some of my hunted out spots :D But they were still producing some nice finds. Daytondigger will post his nice finds that I missed :'( One was a real nice find too :-\ The first place we hit was a spot that the owner said had been hunted by his uncle. Well, he missed something ;D I found another IH (1890)

Headed to my second spot where I thought I had found a privy. Steve (Daytondigger) ran his magic rod into the privy looking for any signs of something lurking below. A lot of the brick had fallen into the hole so his probe wasn't able to get a good reading. Probably won't dig it out :-\ This is the sight of a 1800's house and a early 1900's house. We hunted the newer spot because the older one was in the corn field and the stubble was making it hard to search. Steve smoked me again here. I found a wheat and some kind of jewelery ?? Any idea's?? I also found a 1954 TEX-A-Toy fifty cent piece play coin. We to my next spot where I have done good with silver, tokens and Lot's of wheat's and relics. A few modern Lincolns. I found a spoon and a 1949 nickle. The oldest wheat was 1920, and the reat in the 40's. I believe I hunted it out :D

Now for lunch then over to the JA McDonald place to pound it again. To my surprise I came away with a nice old token. It reads: Voige&Winter Manufacturers. Factory No one. 1st D????? Cincinnati, Ohio Side number 2. Good for one Gold letter cigar

I also found a 1949 Ohio license plate up against the barn. Eyeball find.

Thanks for looking. Ron

It's good to know people. The one guy has 3 places for us to hunt. He went to school with my mother. So that helped alot becasue at first he said no. After a 30 minute conversation, he changed his mind ;D

Wow, that jewelry piece cleaned up nicely. Better looking than it appeared in the field. The token is; Voige & Winter/Factory No. One/Manufacturers/1st District/Cincinnati//This Check Will Be Redeemed By Any Dealer/Good For/One Gold/Letter/Cigar
(429 Main 1897-1900). Round, alluminum 35mm, rated 5 in rarity. It's a nice token to find(over 100 years old), congrats. I'll clean, photograph and post my finds tomorrow after a long day at my honey hole. Thanks for having me up, it was a great day.

Thanks for the research Steve. I'd like to smoke a gold letter cigar right now after hunting 10 hours today ;D

That don't sound bad. By the way, after my last post I felt something crawling on my arm, it was a tick! :o You better check yourself. Creapy little buggers!! >:(

Great Post!
I enjoy seeing the pics of the actual properties being hunted, kind of puts the report on a more personal basis.
thanks for sharing

I usually do it to make my finds more believable (not that no one believes me) I just like to do it. It also adds a personal touch to it. It's like reading a good book or watching an interesting program. It pulls you in a little. Thanks

Congratulations on all those finds.
I have found bricks like that.
If you find out whats there let us know.

The jewelery looks 'imitation' Victorian, most likely 1920s.

Sure will. I'm going to ask the owner. I believe his father lived there at one time. The owner is 73
