I was out detecting a field sunday with a friend 8) and we were looking for evidence of an encampment but was limited due to crops and mud. We probably walked about 4 miles or so and had little to show for it. When we returned to the property owners house to let them know of our lack of finds, they gave us permission to hunt the yard out front. I managed to dig a 1920 wheatie and a few clad coins. While on my way home I stopped for a bite to eat and had the urge to hunt some more so I stopped at the local park and hunted an area that used to be part of the park but was fenced off years ago due to development of a school. I hunted inside the fence for about a half an hour which turned up some clad and then I got good signal at about 6in. While digging the loose dirt from the hole I dug, I found my target sticking to the edge of the hole. I was pleased to see the silver and even more pleased to see that it was a barber.
