20150125_211352-1.jpegNo markings I can tell accept design above trigger. Dang heavy thing to. between this and the 100 year old pocket drop(yep another one) I had a heck of a day. Soaking the coins. Not that it will help. just wondering what this was. Barrel is clear as I pored vinegar threw and it all came out fast. (flush ants out)

Jackalope beat me to it...Remington Model 1100 here's a cleaner example with the scrollwork. Looks like a longer barrel on your particular example.

There's only a few reasons somebody would bury a gun and I can't think of any of them being a good one.
 

Duck hunters loose their guns in the water all the time while out on their boats.. I have no idea the water he found it in but shotguns in the water happen:D.. wait, looks like he dug it up..lol
