All Treasure Hunting
Spent the whole day at a schoolyard. I was amazed at how much stuff there was at this school. Has no one ever hunted this place I thought to myself. There were too many coins dating from the early 50's to the 70's. I only hunted a small portion of the field that I was in. I set up a grid pattern and will eventually cover the entire area.
Found one ring in the morning...went home for lunch and then returned for the evening. Within 5 minutes of returning I found the Opal ring. Not sure about this being an opal...? Too bad it was missing one of the stones. Going to have to go see the jeweler and get an appraisal on this one....sure is pretty colors...and they say that the green mixed in there makes them more valuable. Anyone out there know much about opals?
I will be going back and cover the rest of the area....there has to be some class rings out there too:coins:
The t&co ear ring stud....is this the Tiffany & Co.? Looks like it to me.......
*I have only had the Garrett Ace250 for a few days. I had used a Fisher 1280x for many years (a lot of beach hunting). I am very pleased with the way the Garrett is able to allow me to hear a target in the midst of so much trash. I had used a Garrett many years ago so I knew they make good machines....I am very happy with this one...
* Both rings are 925 silver

Sweet finds! Is the ring gold?

nice find ! I'm not seeing opal there - I've never seen or heard of faceted opals - the material is too soft and brittle -and is cut cabachon accordingly . What I think you may have there is alexandrite - it shows the green and purples - and seems to switch from one to the other depending on the light source.

Nice finds, heart looks like onyx.

Nice opal rings! Congratulations.

You may well be right about the stones....

Argentium.....looked at the alexandrites....looks like it could be....
I'm actually hoping it is alexandrite....and hoping it's not a synthetic stone! Always hoping...

You correct ! Opals are not faceted and it looks like a Alexandrite to me as well . Woodstock
