Sun Pillar

[Cruisin]

I took this photo from my porch overlooking the San Joaquin Valley in Calif. It was almost dark and I saw a "sun pillar" which is an atmospheric optical thingy similar to a sun dog. I took a chance & snapped the pic anyway, even though it was really dark. It came out pretty good! You can even see the slight turqouise color that the sky get for a few seconds just before the sun set.
