What ever size nozzle you want to build, divide it by 4 this will give you the size of the pressure jet you'll need.

The jet should not penetrate the inside of the nozzle at all, if it does it will cause a jamb. On a 3" nozzle your jet size should be 3/4" Your supply tube on a 3" can be anywhere between 1-1/2" to 2"

Hope this helps,

Hydroforce are great for blinding folks as your face is instantly splattered with rocks, gravel and filthy waters. We made that style of junk for a extremely short period in the early 80s and after seeing the damage to folks,I cut the last dozen in half on the shear as I could NOT be responsible for damaging peoples sight-John

Just like when running a rock hammer you should wear safety glasses. I saw the splash back in the videos and I planned on using glasses while running it. Thanks for the input guys! All comments are welcome.

It depends on the pump output, gpm & pressure. Trash pump might need ½" where a 500gpm 2" pump could take 1" easily at ½ throttle

I am going to set a 3/4 bell reducer into it to begin with. I can put a reducer into it if needed but if I need larger I will cut it out and modify. Modifications may need to be made but to me modifying metal is easy... I never heard if the nozzle of the jet should penetrate the 3" 90 or if it should be flush like the picture above. If it penetrates how far should it penetrate?
