Stunning Modernist Hammered and Handled Silver Bowl

I have been eyeing this piece in the case at a thrift store since August. It was marked "Silver Plate" but was $95. I waited and waited but they never reduced the price and said they wouldn't. It is only marked "Silver" on the bottom. Well I finally could not take it any longer and pulled the trigger. The acid test was good so it does appear to be silver. It turned blood red. It weighs in at 12.32 ozt. This one probably will stay in my collection! I just wish it was signed. Any ideas in origin with just the "Silver" stamp? I suspect Korean.

To think it sat there for weeks. Careful on the acid test. A heavy plated item can still show a deep red after a few scrapes. And at the same time, you don't want to mess up your piece by pulverizing it. Tough balance game to play when testing...

I've seen that mark around. I can't remember...

These are fine examples that just say SILVER.

If the piece is solid, you probably having something worth 4 figures. I have never seen anything like it. (I'm far from an expert--send a few pictures to some regional auction houses...)
