Stumped on a brass and glass thingy...

I found this when detecting in a river a few days ago. No one I have asked has known what it might be. I thought it might be an old gas lamp, one friend suggested a piece of lab equipment. I'm stumped and intrigued. The brass tubes are hollow and it appears to me that they might be gas lines. Does anyone care to give it a guess? I appreciated any input I can get. Thanks for checking it out.

I think it may be parts and pieces to an old flit sprayer that used glass jars.
