Dad & I struggled through 5 bad field to try & find the next place to grid without any luck. These fields were never on the radar but when you have very few options it's a good time to gamble. The 6th field was the one we got the Groat last week, but even this field could only give us the odd average find. (Proves why we target fields, lots of blanks out there)

17th C Button
1864 Silver Spoon with Monogram 'ME' on front
16th-17th C Sword Belt Hanger
Scrap silver

Even when you're "struggling" you're digging up some nice items!

would love to have your struggles, they always look pretty darn impressive to me

I like the "scrap silver" I'm in love with the sight of old English hallmarks. That crippled spoon is very awesome in by opinion. :D

Your struggling and we're snowed in! You can dig! Congrats! All the old relics you find!
You guys are awesome! Your doing fine!

That sword hanger was worth it. How are the conditions? We had so much rain, the fields are floodedover ankledeep mud.

Good deal......hotspot

Hi Crusader, I am just a short distance from where Frances Slocum was abducted by Indians and became a wife of the chief of the Indians. Should you ever be in America you have an open invitation to search my front and back yards, anything you find you can keep except for the fossils I have put there as decoration/ornaments/art pieces.....Joe McDonough

Cru,

A so so day helps to keep you humble.....I'm sure many more killer finds will be coming your way.

Regards + HH

Bill

We here in the young country look at your " less than stellar" finds and don't feel sorry for you Cru. No disrespect meant, lol. Is that last item the attachment on a pail or bucket for the handle or bail? I would love to see your collection of finds.

Congratulations on the interesting finds! Hunting with your Dad...Priceless!

At least some silver saved the day ! What's the coin above the King George V's ? have you found some complete silver spoons ?
( A silver spoon is right near the top of my hope to dig list )

What? No pull-tabs or aluminum can pieces?

Sone interesting stuff there all the same.

Nice hanger, is that one that's called a Bat Wing Hanger?

The scrap silver is under the spoon, in case people hadn't realised.
