Well it was back to the sidewalk strip in the old neighborhood I've been hunting. Today produced a 1958D Washington that looks like it was just minted. I also found a 1914 Canadian Large Cent which is a first for me.

There was also a token from Fine's Hotel Bar Good for 5 cents in trade and 2 wheaties - 1919 & 1956D. Also 4.58 in clad.

Nice finds there!
Those overlooked areas always pay off for me.

Those are some sweet finds! I've often wanted to hunt the sidewalk strips between the walk and the street, but always fear the property owners on the other side of the sidewalk will yell at me to get lost.

For the first time in 5 hunts in this area I had a property owner who was coming home as I was doing the strip in front of his house. He asked what I was looking for, I told him, then he said "I guess the strip is public property huh?" I said yes sir and kept on hunting. (it is legal here)

Nice silver digs on strip.

Two firsts....unless of course you located a pocket spill of those tokens before...LOL....Nice digs  jgas

Congrats on your finds, Lloyd.

That token is very cool!! It's also great to dig a near mint Washington out of the ground unscathed.

WOOHOO ~ NICE FINDS!! I especially like the trade token ~ VERY COOL!!!! CONGRAT'S!!!

The Washington is great. As far as hunting the strip (boulevard) I think it is fair game most places. I've heard of some
exceptions though when it comes to removing an uprooted tree from that strip of grass, so who knows??!

I'm getting better at getting them out of the ground unscathed. The better pinpointing of the Pro DD coil helps, and I'm being very careful because there is a fair amount of silver in the area. Out of 7 coins I've only put a mark on 1 of them this week and that was the spill with 3 coins in the same hole.

Yeah, it's kinda strange out here. we can dig (and I do it very carefully), but city permission is required to remove a tree and they have to approve the type of replacement tree. It's also been a pain because a couple of the recoveries have been under roots so trying not to totally tear up the ground yet get the coin has been a challenge
