Picked Jon up and headed for the street tear up..
Got three at 9:00am weather was fine.
First we started off in an area of Late 50's early 60's parkways about a block from the car.
Jon started it off with finding a silver ring ( well partial )
Walked up another block when Jon says hey look what you missed ( I had just did a walk through to start at a spot ) When he finds a 42 Merc right on the surface. I told him earlier to watch for surface coins.
Pics below.....It was a surface find so he put his coil over it to make it " official "
The sky was BLACK up north and the STORM was coming...
We both looked at each other and was thinking the same thing.... Lets walk back closer to the car... So we did..
We were swinging maybe 5 minutes when I pulled my first silver out..a 1942S Merc... Made me happy...
Earlier ( 45min. ) I was telling Jon about how I was finding coins, about 80% of the time, in a small ,say 2 foot square area of
the dirt where the little sidewalk leads down to the street from the big sidewalk. Each little area just off the big sidewalk on either side of the " T".
Well low and behold I pull a wheat out from this area and then I pulled a 1961 Rosie about 6 inches away from the wheat...
Jon followed with a Rosie....
I walked down to the next small sidewalk and again about 6 inches from the "T" sidewalks I pulled a 1940 Merc sitting straight up on end....
We pulled out 4 silvers within 20 minutes before the skies started to open up.....
Golf ball size hail Pouring Rain and flooding....come down from the sky..
and we didn't even get wet....
Glad we stayed by the car....
Had a great shout hunt.....
I got 10 Wheats 3 silver and $.63 clad
