Steamy woods hunt

Steamy woods hunt at an old home site yielded six relics before I had to beat it out to avoid the thunder and lightning. Finds include two buttons - a tombac and a cast pewter, two musketballs, a utensil handle, and, oddly enough, a small type-face letter "O".

Its steaming here also but those are some cool relics enough to keep me going

You're right Tommy. Took 3 others back to this site in May and everyone found something. Best coins that day were 2 LCs and a fatty indian.

Thanks Randy. Didn't see many people on the hunt. Passed no one on the way in or out (40 minutes each way). Did chat with a dog-walker and saw two mountain bikers. The site is fairly remote and I don't think many know how to get to it.

Thanks Bob! Yes, bugs not to bad. Used the "Deep Woods OFF" (DEET) and stayed pretty clear of bites. Something got me on the wrist early on, just felt it but didn't see the culprit.

Forest in Va is steamy and filled with spider webs! Really annoying, but most not poisonous.
