? ? JUST GOT HOME FROM DETECTING. FOUND 3 WHEATS TWO ?1944 1 1917 1 OLD NIC NO DATE.A LITTLE KNIFE.PLUS ELEVEN COPPER ?BLANKS ALL AT THE BASE OF A HUGE TREE.IM TALKING WAY BACK IN THE WOODS.ANY THOUGHTS WHAT THOSE COPPER BLANKS WERE FOR........THANKS BUD.

I have seen blanks like those before. My understanding was that the blanks were shipped to the mint for striking. Maybe someone got their hands on them in the process.

Search that area some more, look for landmarks that could mark a cache. Like a Cross, some people thought if they marked a cache with a Cross God would protect it. Look for big rocks or piles of rocks, tree stumps anything that could mark a cache. Also I would search that area some more for just coins. They say if wheat pennies are around then more than likely some silver or rare cents are around too.
