Strange Tin Light?

It has a cloth cord , an old bulb - yup , I plugged it in .... it works !
I can't find any makers mark . Any ideas ?

I think what you have is part of an old slide projector for glass slides or something similar. I have a bulb similar to that made by Edison Mazda. from around 1915 to 1925.

Wow, that thing's ... old. Last house I bought had a runway light laying around. HUGE bulb in it, over a foot tall and 5-6 inches wide. I donated it to the engineering department at the local university. They loved it because it was a true show-and-tell. Hang on to that and try hard not to break it! Thanks for sharing. -Noodle

thats cool and thats a VERY old lightbulb due to the nipple on top. we're talking mid 20's or older.
