Strange stuff from yesterday

Was out detecting an old park and came up with some things I have no idea as to what they are. Any guess would be appreciated. I did find an old serving spoon/knife thing that is silver, as well as a 1902 liberty nickel which is in very poor shape. There is also something that looks like a metal cup handle or perhaps a trigger gaurd for a toy gun, not sure.

Thanks for looking

You're right, weird stuff. The spoon thing looks like a cake server. The 1902 liberty nickel is just like the one I found yesterday, same year, same poor condition.? Cool finds though.?

door handle

I would have thought it was a door knob of some sort, but the flat on the "top" seems to be a lenz of some sort and there is some form of mechanical needle/arm thing on it that wouldn't be from a door either.

The big round thingy.....I think that it is the main part of an old horn.....the ooooga type
Cheers

The one pice you have with the needle on it is a air or hydrolic pressure gauge I think, the other with yore hand in the pic. may be a pressure switch with lite, the lite bulb may fit in the hole.
Appears to me as the 2 parts went to the same unit? Like an air compresser?
Neato finds!!..........................................................................................Gene...................

Looks pretty cool whatever it is. Nice nickel though and the handle thing ?? HH

Any markings on the spoon? It looks like the old silver over copper ones. What is the trigger thingy made of? It loooks like that weird white metal that disintegrates easily.

Could the round object have been an old automobile radiator thermometer? Looks about the right diameter. Just a guess.

Well, thanks for all the replies, so far, the best guess came from a local guy who believes it is an old valve for pressure relief, either air or hydraulic. The "lenz" part is very flexible and he believe it will flex or blow out if a specific pressure is reached, which would also help explain the needle type thing attatched to the top. I think he may be close. I still am looking for someone that can be more certain, I will let you know if I find out for sure.

Thanks for looking,
Mike

i agree with g45 i think its some sort of pneumatic pressure gauge

The large whatzit is off of an old Victrola type record player.I think its called a reproducer.??The square block held the needle and the open side attatched to a horn.....JO

I think that is probably the correct answer for sure. I thought thats what it looked like when it first came out of the ground, the more I look at it, that I believe is what it is and makes more sense considering where it was found.

Thanks!
-Mike
