Anybody have a strange detecting story? Weird find?
About 15 years ago, I found in a park a tiny metal calender, with only the month of May and the date - 1973 ... the month and year I was born!
One of the strangest things was a few years ago on the off season, I was working a beach and not finding much at all. It was cold and no one else in site so I wasn't using headphones. To make a long story short, a guy appeared out of nowhere, came up to me and handed me a $5 bill asking me to shut my machine off! He began to explain that he was on mushrooms and tripping out from my beeping. O.KAAAAAYYY!!!
So I took the 5 bucks and went home. I wasn't finding anything anyway!

I was detecting a house one time and was having trouble extracting a ring from the ground- there were children following me that lived in the house,and as I was digging up the ring I made the comment"come on ya little snake,get outta there!" One of the children said "Cool, that thing finds snakes too?"
