Looks like a love token is it the same size as a dime maybe 1883 nice find congrats :icon_pirat:

Re: strange silver pendant, 1935 buffalo nickel

It's some kind of token as the hole has been drilled into it ::)

Re: strange silver pendant, 1935 buffalo nickel

So, more than likely this (coin) was made into a love token a long time ago then???

Thats what makes them better than a uncirc coin of the same date in my opinion. Its the time & effort & craftmanship which impresses me. Most likely the reverse is the Initials of the one he/she made it for (or a combination of the two/ or his/her own Initials). :icon_thumright:

With the "83" on the coin, I would speculate that it was a seated dime, turned into
a token in 1883. I like those old love tokens. They can get quite fancy.

Congrats on that nice love token. It's a rare find for sure. Great workmanship on that.
