strange roman coin with a hole on it

Found this roman today. Its got a face and writing on one side but the other side its just blank :-/ the head is facing left

Any idea people??

Maybe it's a Roman Coin Button and the shank has broken off leaving the hole. http://www.ukdfd.co.uk/ukdfddata/showrecords.php?product=21571&cat=104
Or maybe a Roman coin made into a button . Could you post a pic of the reverse, even though there is nothing on it.
