??? Found this piece of junk in the local park and put it in my pocket to dispose of at home. When I got it home, I could see it had a "face". It appeared to be a sort of an animal except that it had rounded things at the bottom instead of legs. After soaking it in oil and dremelling the crud off, it appears to be brass/copper. It looks like a sheep. It has a little hat and some "bangs" on its forehead. But, what the heck is it? Part of a door-knocker? I am stumped.

:D What you have is a piece of melted metal or bronze that looks like a sheep ,then again you never know!!!! It could be a sheep figurine that was melted in a fire... Good luck Seeker

Nice blob of metal! I would try and see what type it is, if its brass it could be worth a few dollars in scrap metal. I think brass is over 6 dollars a pound :) The last pic does look like more than a blob of metal though....

HEY DUDE,
IS THINK I SEE A SHEEP, THEN AGAIN IT COULD BE A MONK, OR MAYBE EVEN A LITTLE PINK COLORED ELEPHANT....A COUPLE MORE HITS OFF THE OLD CRACK PIPE AND WHO KNOWS WHAT SHE WILL TURN INTO.....J/K.....MELTED BRONZE MONK IS WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE TO ME.....SO PASS THE PIPE AND LETS SEE WHAT WE CAN COME UP WITH.....
ITS A KEEPER FOR SURE...WHAT A CONVERSATION PIECE.

You are right it is a "strange little thing". I keep seeing a groomed poodle. ;D

It's still unique looking. Use as a paper weight on your desk!!

That is a weird one. ???
Definitely a keeper, if just to have as a conversation piece...
Good luck, & Happy hunting~

OK-

In the first pic, I see a naked lady-

In the second pic, I see a bare naked lady bending over to pick up something-

In the third pic, I see a semi-clothed lady-

In the fourth pic, I see a naked lady wearing glasses.

OK, so who's this dude Rorschach, Doc? And why are you looking at me funny? YOU'RE the one showing dirty pictures! ;D

Sorry to all the ladies out there, I couldn't resist..... ;)

Wacky find, I hope you get an answer..... until then- the others are right it will make a nice conversation piece! HH

(BTW- No, I am not on crack)

Couldnt be bronze or it wouldnt have melted. The amount of heat required to melt bronze would be unlikely. Copper brass alloy most likely. Good find though.

IF IT AINT CRACK IT MUST BE ALL THIS RAIN WE ARE GETTING OUT HERE IN OREGON......MAKING US SEE THINGS.....NOW THAT I LOOK AT IT I SEE A BIG WAD OF POO......HMMMMM.

PS JEFFRO WE NEED TO HOOK UP AND GO DO SOME DIGGIN'

Well- I guess it may be hard to see in the photos, but it does actually have a head with a nose, eye and mouth. It has some texture that imitates hair on the head and down the neck. It has a relief of a leg on the front rounded thing. The back one may have had one, but there was so much crud on top that I had to dremel it off and may have removed it. I will have to go back to the field and see if I can find the rest of the flock!! ;)

LOL, Isuzu! And I'll take you up on that Lone, e-mail me sometime when you are heading out this way.
