Hello all,

I found this weird thing in a park in northern Ohio (built 1890s). The majority of the old stuff I've found at the park has been from that period, although I have found musketballs and a Flying Eagle cent as well, so who knows?

The object seems to be made of bronze or copper. It is not symmetrical - one end has a projecting part (broken off) with a protrusion on it that may have fastened to something.

The object may have been circular at one point in time but has since been crushed. Additionally, it seems to have trace gilding, and you can see from the pictures that there is a decorative pattern that looks crude enough to have been done by hand.

Thank you in advance for your thoughts on this - I'm stumped!

Drew
