Strange Design on Dandy Button

What do you think, is that design just a random design or is it something else.



I have never seen this kind of design before, I have seen flowers, I have seen dotted borders and bulls eyes but not this. What do you think

Illuminati symbol? If you look hard there is another Triangular shape down and to the left of the one you highlighted.

I think something pressed up against it and caused that effect. If it was going to be designed, it would either be raised, or indented as in etching. But the good news is you seldom find those that other goodies don't come out. And I even got to hunt today for the first time in about four years. Found an eagle button, but the no good, dirty, stinking hunting partner found a CS tongue. We are making him walk home.

I have found quite a few at that site, two more today including the one I posted and another tiny one. My record at that site is eight in one day. You are right, buttons rarely come alone, I almost always find other goodies where buttons are. Including coins, early buckles, musket balls, and other cool relics. One more thing, Who knows, maybe next time you will find the wreath .

The amount of designs is endless, but one guess would be a cornucopia. Have seen it before. I turned the image to match up with the small circles.
