why would the crescent moon & star mean it is related to Islam, these symbols predated Islam by thousands of years, going back to Moab, Sumerian, through to the Ottoman empire.
The dates on some of the "coins" are possibly Islamic dates, possibly Hebrew or other Society other than one using the PGMT calendar

Its not just the crescent moon and star, there are other things pointing to Islamic origin. Found in the ocean in this condition would mean recently lost..

I can see Indonesian swords and symbols on the coins, but the writing is not Arabic
The fact that they were found in the ocean is true, BUT they were inside a container that was buried by a meter+ of sand/earth so they had been at this location for some time.
Remember Mel Fisher found many things in the ocean that were not recently placed there ???
I did not take pics of the items before cleaning them, I wish I had, but this is not my area of expertise
The characters on the coins are very intriguing to me, and seems they could be from different continents, yet they were together in one container

I'd agree with Bigcypress on this one. On the coin in the upper right corner on the top picture, those are clearly Turkish/Arabic numbers under the eagle. Also on the lower right hand coin in the bottom picture, if you turn it upside down you have a flag on a hill, also with Turkish Arabic numbers underneath. The star and crescent are routinely found on the coins of Turkey.
Also, it's usually a good idea to give all the information you have about the items you want identified, such as the general location and conditions under which they were found. It keeps people from making guesses they wouldn't have considered if they knew everything. If the coins were in a wooden box, it'd be a different story than if they were found in a mayonaise jar. And being buried a meter in the sand isn't necessarily an indicator of age. I've dug that far and found aluminum cans if the wave action is running the wrong way and piling sand onto the beach.

What kind of container? ??? Underwater shifting ocean sands can bury an item a meter in one hour easily. What cleaning method did you use? BTW welcome to TN. Are you located in the Phillipines or Malaysia?

thanks for the expertise, and counsel I greatly appreciate the feedback.
The coins were in a brass container that was quite worn out, the search started on land and a trail of metal objects kept me going into the ocean, finding these coins
I found these off of a island south of Mindanao, after reading Japanese signs on rocks close to the ocean
