Storage Locker Security Concern

I'm moving to Calgary and renting a storage locker for a month or two to store some furniture and my belongings. One of my friends suggested self-storage in Etobicoke, where he keeps his stuff. But I'm concerned about the security that they provide. Is it safe to keep things in a self storage facility? Anyway, I figured that I would crowdsource the choices, so if anyone has had good experiences, please reply. Any other choices will be appreciated. I appreciate any help you can provide.
