Stopped at the Historical Society in Town,boy,am I glad I did!!!!!!!!!!! UPDATE

Good for you talker... grid, go slow and best of luck guy....!!!!! This project will definitely take awhile to complete.

I went yesterday,the place has never been touched,signals EVERYWHERE,nothing spectacular...YET!!! I know the junk is masking the good stuff.

You know the drill... one area at a time. Remove the "junk" and re-hit. You say.... "signals EVERYWHERE,nothing spectacular...YET!!!" Does this means not a good "signal" yet or your digging everything? Your going to find something sooner or later that's "good". Best of luck guy and keep us posted.... later, Brad

Everything but Iron,and,there's a lot of it,I reckon this is what the president is wanting,going 9:15 tomorrow,I'm going to take Jack,He gets around quite well for 82,there is so much property in the area,met a few folks all ready,the door has opened quite an opportunity here,no shortage on spots now!!

After your experience worldtalker, I'm gonna rethink my local historical societies. I got turned off by one which had metal signs on their property which stated:
"Metal detectors not permitted" From what I could tell, the site is not historical in any way, there is a lake for swimming and ball courts and picnic areas outside.

Anyway, there are several societies within the areas I detect at. My wife and I went to a museum for a defunct canal and the museum curator
took our names and phone number as they will be excavating a property and said we can participate. I think the main thing is to get around and network, and things will happen, right?
 

An orchard thermometer goes 0 to 100 Celsius to measure soil temp on dial guage,air is different:dontknow: if that,s your critter.
